Mixed choir Tarantella

Tarantella (an Italian "musical round dance") is a chamber choir from Ede, consisting of twenty singers, balanced on soprano, alto, tenor and bass. Since 1999 we have enjoyed singing world music in various languages: African, English, Sephardic, Italian and Dutch under the inspiring leadership of conductor Juliette Stout. Classical music also has a place with us. Usually we sing a capella, but occasionally we sing with accompaniment of piano or djembé, and sometimes a song gets its own choreo in order to let the text live even more. We have found a nice mix between cosiness and commitment. Because it is important to us that, in addition to the pure tones and beautiful sounds, we also express the experience of text and music and thus make the music heard from our hearts. In short, a performance is always a small musical adventure
